This morning (January 1st) our local electric broadband noise level is still too high here in my location. For example, HCJB at 0850 on 6050 was with S=3/4, but O=1-2 only due to that noise. CVC on 13590 at 0925 was almost unheard and even MNG on 12085 at 0932 had O=1/2 as HCJB. Will see later...

13590 0812-0822 ZMB CVC Lusaka, 02/01, English, YL ann, rap-style pop song, 0819 short OM ann and pop music, 0820 slow song (YL) poor and almost fair with deep fading and some local noise

9610 0823- POR DW Sines in DRM mode (tent.), 02/01, strong signal level as usually unfortunately, as this one fully covers 9615 that was the best KNLS B08 freq. here in NE Europe in November-December

9930 1137-1202 PLW T8WH Koror, 02/01, English, some ann with mention of address in Indiana (P.O.Box 12), WHR site, etc., pop songs, 1200 in Chinese - very good with slight fading, but fair only after 1200 due to CNR1 as jamming (thanks to A.Egorov's info via open_dx) QSL in 266 days

4880 1450-1515 IND AIR Lucknow, 02/01, Hindi-like short ann and Indian music and singing, 1510 a lot of short YL/OM talks with musical pauses fair at the beginning, then poor due to the downward propagation conditions and local noise Hope for a QSL

7435 1530-1559* KAZ Voice of Orthodoxy, 02/01, Russian, opening ID, then YL/OM reading of one archpriest A.Shmemans book about the histrory of Orthodoxy, final ID's, schedule (Tu/Fr only on 7435) and address at St.Petersburg as 199034, nab. Leytenanta Schmidta, dom 39 very strong and good with some fading and local noise, but very low audio level at the beginning during some seconds; they also announced one inquiry among all listeners with one question: should they continue to broadcast on SW? Will phone them and ask to stay on SW as long as it is possible, and also send them a reception report by e-mail already tomorrow...

11885 1223-1253 POR RDP Lisbon, 03/01, Portueguese, a lot of Portuguese songs in various styles (from rap to folk) with only one YL short ann at 1234 as RDP Internacional good with slight fading and some local noise, also slight het. till 1230 (MLA on 11884.7?)

7220 1823-1842, 1853-1908, 1957-2001* (tx off at 2002) ETH UNID station, 17/01, Vernacular, OM/YL talks, African songs, news at 1859-1903 and at 1957 (headlines), final choral and orchestral national anthem (like to music only version of their NA - but I am not sure in full) - fair with R.Liberty in the background, I think this one is ETH that is/was on 6090 kHz...

And that's all for January. Unfortunately, our strong local broadband electric noise were on during almost all January. Also there were no any new "exotic" QSLs in my post box yet, such as from PNG, INS or FLK. Will see in February...
